The session intends to dwell on a comprehensive approach to the environmental, social and wetlands management concerns of the issues related to transboundary wetland management.

Expected are findings and papers which describe the wetland  geography, historical events and agreements, if any, on wetland- related issues, the current uses of wetland resources, conflict and cooperation in the transboundary wetland areas, management practices and  initiatives, sharing benefits or factors relating to potential benefits, and conclusions.
