Symposium Venue
The AWS Secretariat is delighted to announce that the symposium will be held at the International Conference Centre in Hanoi. The convention centre is housed in a newly constructed French-style building located next to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The address is 11 Le Hong Phong Street, Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi, Viet Nam.
Shuttle Bus
AWS participants will be provided with free shuttle bus transportation between La Thanh Hotel and the International Convention Centre.
Hanoi
Hanoi is a city built upon the wetlands of the Red River Delta. Hanoi is famous for its wonderful lakes, the Red River flowing through the city and historic “Old Quarter” as well as the world famous wetland-related water puppet show.
June Weather in Hanoi
The average minimum temperature is 26°C and the average maximum temperature is 33°C. There is an average of 239 mm of rain that falls in June with an average of 14 days in the month that receive a significant amount of rain. Expect extreme discomfort from heat and humidity. The conference and hotel venue will be air-conditioned.
Currency
The Vietnamese currency is the Vietnamese Dong (VND). $ 1 USD is approximately equal to 16 000 VND.

La Thanh Hotel
The AWS Secretariat has reserved rooms for AWS participants at La Thanh Hotel,
located approximately 15 minutes by car from the International Convention Centre. The
cost is 43 USD/ room/ night (including breakfast) for a single or a double. The
rate is 60 USD/ room/ night for a triple. The address of La Thanh Hotel

Room reservations will be made on a first come first serve basis. Please confirm with the AWS Secretariat your hotel requirements.
For alternative arrangements please contact the CWD Hotel or the AWS Secretariat. Please be advised the participants not staying at La Thanh Hotel are responsible for making their own arrangements to travel to the International Convention Centre.

Arrival and Airport Transfer to Hotel
Airport transfers – Hanoi volunteers from environmentally friendly organizations will be at the airport to assist with your transfers to the hotel on Sunday June 22 from 9:00 – 21:00.
A taxi to the hotel/downtown Hanoi area should cost approximately VND 200,000. These are fixed rates as meters are not used for airport transfers. Please look out for the Noi Ban Taxi stand once you exit the arrival hall.
